Tea-Light Candle Diffusers
$3.00 – $25.00
These shallow, wide rimmed tea-light holders are very hard to find, so I am really glad to finally locate a large enough supply that I can offer them to you. Your will love them in so many ways.
This simple little tea-light holder and candle has countless applications for essential oil. My favorite way to diffuse essential oil is to put a few drops on the wide rim of the glass holder and then light the candle inside. The oil never touches the wax, yet it’s gentle flame adds just enough warmth, energy, and light to activate the scent and expand it’s throw field by many feet. The glass rim stays barely warm and never raises the temperature enough to degrade the oil. When I place several in a room (same scent) I can create aroma-scent like “surround sound.” It’s just amazing.
Enjoy these anywhere, everywhere. They can be purchased as singles, sets of four, or even a dozen, which I would highly recommend to create aroma-space. Try one with your next essential oil order and discover the magic for yourself!

The oil never touches the wax, yet it’s gentle flame adds just enough warmth, energy, and light to activate the scent and expand it’s throw field by many feet without raising the temperature enough to break down the oil. First, I need to say that it’s very important never to put heat directly to pure essential oil. Direct heat literally turns it from “alive” to cooked. Therefore, never put your essential oil on the candle itself. Yes, there are scented candles, but they contain artificial perfumes that are designed to withstand direct hear. When I first started studying essential oils decades ago it was very popular to put a drop or two on an incandescent light bulb and then turn on the lamp. It was just awful, and that kind of heat would, of course, destroy the oil’s value and integrity. Then someone came up with the bright idea that it would be OK to just put essential oil in a little dish above a candle. Until it gets really hot that provides some acceptable aroma, but it’s still a little like cooking dinner over a can of Sterno. So, enough with the past. The best things are usually the simplest, and that’s what we have here.
These adorable little holders each come with an unscented tea-light candle, and when that is used up you can buy replacements for just pennies in bulk at your local “big store.” The glass holder lasts forever. OR, they are just the right size to use for essential oil without a candle. Glass is the perfect neutral surface for essential oil, and these holders provide the kind of shallow containment required to offer the most air circulation for your precious elixirs.
I use these without candles to hold my aroma-bead fragrances and distribute them around the house, like tiny potpourri dishes. They are also marvelous for creating my own special blends for personal use. One night I had a persistent cough, so I got some Lavender, Clove, and Fennel and mixed a few drops of each in an empty holder (no candle), rubbed some on my throat and chest and sat the rest on my night stand. It worked just great.
Enjoy these anywhere, everywhere. Right now I have one lighted between me and my computer monitor, and it makes all the difference in the energy. I am using May Chang and that significantly reduces nervous agitation that cyberspace can generate.
